CBT for Anxiety

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps kids notice the connection between their thoughts, behaviors, and feelings. This knowledge is powerful in helping kids better manage feelings, behaviors and thoughts. Kids can learn ways to cope with anxiety and begin to thrive.

CBT+ERP for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

Just like adults, kids can also suffer form OCD. OCD starts with being upset by a thought and DOING or THINKING something to help make the thought “go away.” However, this does not work and often makes OCD increase. Not all OCD is as clear cut as hand washing or reordering items on a shelf. It can sometimes come in the form of confessing thoughts or excessively seeking reassurance from caregivers. If your child often falls into these traps, then therapy can help.

Parent coaching

Parenting is one of the hardest jobs, and there is no manual for raising kids. Parents can learn ways to strengthen their relationship with their children, encourage better cooperation, and help kids deal with strong emotions. This support is especially helpful for kids with anxiety, behavior challenges, and those who are highly sensitive.
